Dino.io Privacy Policy

Dino.io Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 4, 2026

Dino.io is a single-player, offline-friendly game. You do not need to create an account or sign in to play.

This policy explains what the game stores on your device, what may be processed by advertising services after the applicable privacy choices, and how to contact us about privacy. Ads may be preloaded, but rewarded videos play only when you choose to watch them.

1. Data stored on your device

Dino.io stores game data locally in the app’s container, including:

  • your nickname and settings;
  • game progress, coins, unlocked cosmetics, achievements, and quests;
  • match statistics and relationships that AI-controlled dinos remember between matches, such as grudges and favors.

This gameplay data is not tied to an online Dino.io account and is not uploaded to a Dino.io cloud service. Deleting the app (rather than offloading it) normally removes its local data according to your operating system’s behavior.

2. Optional rewarded advertisements

On iPhone, iPad, and Android, Dino.io may offer an optional rewarded ad after a player is eliminated. Watching an ad is not required to start or continue future matches. The Mac version does not show ads.

The game uses Google Mobile Ads, Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP), and Unity Ads through mediation on iPhone and iPad; Android uses Unity Ads directly. The game requests non-personalized advertising and submits Unity’s non-behavioral privacy flags before SDK initialization. On iPhone and iPad, starting with version 1.0.0 build 4, it requests Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission before Google’s regional consent flow and before initializing advertising SDKs or loading ads, when iOS permits a request and no previous decision has been recorded.

If you allow tracking and your applicable regional privacy choices permit it, advertising partners may use the advertising identifier (IDFA) to measure ads across other companies’ apps and websites. If you decline or iOS restricts tracking, IDFA is unavailable; regional consent does not override your ATT decision. Declining does not block gameplay or access to optional non-personalized ads. You can change ATT permission in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking. Ad availability still depends on consent requirements, network access, and ad inventory.

Google, Unity, and their advertising partners may still process information needed to deliver and measure ads, prevent fraud, provide analytics, and comply with law. Depending on your device, region, consent choices, and the ad served, this may include:

  • IP address and an approximate location such as country or region;
  • device identifiers (including IDFA only with ATT authorization and applicable consent) and device information, such as model, language, operating system, screen size, and connection type;
  • ad views, clicks, interactions, reward completion, and related performance or diagnostic data.

Where required, Google’s consent form explains advertising data use and offers privacy choices. You can reopen it from Settings › About › Ad privacy settings in Dino.io. Google and Unity’s notices also apply to their processing:

3. Feedback and diagnostics

Dino.io does not automatically upload gameplay recordings or feedback packages. Development and test builds can create a feedback package locally only after a tester chooses the feedback action. The tester decides whether and how to share that package. This development-only control is not included in release builds.

The app does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, or your existing photo library for normal gameplay. If you choose Save to Photos, it requests add-only Photos permission so it can save a highlight image or video; it cannot read your existing photos through that permission.

4. Children

Dino.io is a general-audience game and is not specifically directed to children. If local law requires a parent or guardian to approve use of an app or an advertising service, please obtain that approval before using the relevant feature.

5. Changes and contact

We may update this policy if the game’s features, third-party services, or data practices change. The date at the top will show the latest revision.

For privacy questions or requests, contact [email protected].
